The challenge
Mrs W’s journey to a safer bathroom began with her children’s loving concern.
After two knee replacements, getting in and out of her bath had become a daily challenge. Her son and daughter wanted to ensure their mum could enjoy her independence with complete peace of mind. Mrs W wanted a space that was both stylish and safe.
The solution
Darren, founder of Absolute Mobility and Bathroom Designer spent time with Mrs W and her Son, discussing the different options available. Mrs W wanted her current 1700 x 700 bath removed and replaced with a wider showering area.
Darren recommended blocking off part of the window to allow for the widening of the showering area and then installing the durable Onyx low-level shower tray in white, with a step height of only 26mm, paired with a full-height Larenco Sliding Screen for an accessible shower area.
Inside the shower area, he opted for the powerful Mira Advance ATL Flex Electric Shower and a deluxe padded shower seat for added comfort. Mrs W had a preference to retain some of the original tiles, with this in mind Darren suggested installing Zest Wall Panels in the Blanco design, offering both style and waterproof protection within the showering area.
Mrs W opted to replace her current toilet to a Comfort Height solution, also replacing her vanity unit at the same time. To complete the transformation, Darren recommended slip-resistant Altro Pisces vinyl flooring in Anchor, ensuring safety without compromising design.
The outcome
Our skilled installer Will helped to bring Darren’s vision to life efficiently and professionally. Creating a stylish and accessible bathroom, enabling Mrs W to bathe with confidence.
Mrs W and her children were delighted with the results, praising the team and advising the whole company is fantastic.
