The Challenge
Mrs H, who lives with arthritis, found her freestanding bath increasingly difficult and unsafe to use. She wanted the bath removed and replaced with a walk-in shower that would be easier to access while still maintaining a modern, stylish look.
During our site visit, we worked closely with Mrs H to design a solution that balanced safety with contemporary style. Together, we explored layout options and agreed to reposition the heated towel rail so the shower could be installed in the corner. We also discussed how best to achieve a seamless finish, settling on a low-level shower tray, a full-height glass shower screen, wall panelling, and Altro Pisces non-slip flooring. The goal was to create a space that was practical for daily use yet visually in keeping with the rest of her home.
The Outcome
The installation was carried out by our experienced team, Ben and Matt, who ensured every detail of the agreed design was delivered to a high standard. They successfully transformed the bathroom, removing the freestanding bath and installing the new walk-in shower system with a level-access threshold. The contemporary finishes, full-height glass screen, and non-slip flooring combined to create a bathroom that is both safe and elegant.
Mrs H was delighted with the result, as it not only improved accessibility and independence but also gave her the stylish bathroom space she had envisioned.
