The Challenge
The existing bathroom presented a number of design challenges. Not only was the bath becoming unsafe and impractical to use, but the layout of the room also included a sloped ceiling at one end and a centrally positioned window.
These features limited the available space and made it more complex to install a standard walk-in shower solution. It was important to design a layout that worked around these constraints while still delivering a safe, accessible, and visually appealing result.
In addition, the client wanted the new bathroom to blend with the existing style, avoiding a clinical look and maintaining a cohesive finish.
The Outcome
Darren designed a clever and practical solution that maximised the available space while overcoming the room’s structural limitations.
We installed an open-ended, low-level walk-in shower area, allowing for easy access without the need for a fully enclosed unit. A single fixed glass panel was used to maintain a clean, modern look while providing effective splash protection.
To ensure the new installation complemented the existing bathroom, Zest wall panelling was carefully selected to coordinate with the current tiles, creating a seamless and stylish finish.
The result is a bright, open, and future-proofed bathroom that is both safe and easy to use, while still maintaining the overall aesthetic of the home.
