The Challenge
Mr and Mrs W first visited our showroom to explore suitable options for adapting their bathroom. They currently have a standard bath alongside a small quadrant shower, but both were becoming increasingly impractical.
A key requirement was to retain the ability for Mr W to bathe daily, meaning a walk-in bath with a lifting seat was essential
In addition to accessibility needs, aesthetics were extremely important to both clients. They were keen to avoid a clinical or “mobility-style” bathroom, preferring a modern, fully tiled finish with high-end features.
The Outcome
Following a detailed home consultation, we designed an accessible bathroom that balances safety, functionality, and style.
The final design included a walk-in bath, allowing Mr W to continue enjoying baths.
Key features of the installation include:
Cambridge walk-in bath with lifting seat for safe and comfortable bathing
Underfloor heating to enhance comfort and replace the existing non-functioning system
Full re-tiling of walls and floors for a high-quality, contemporary finish
Additional considerations were made to ensure ease of use, particularly with taps and controls, helping to accommodate reduced hand strength and dexterity.
The completed bathroom delivers a stylish, future-proof space that meets Mr W’s mobility needs without compromising on design.
