FAQs

Can a level-access shower be installed upstairs?

Yes, in most cases. While it requires the tray to be set into the floor structure, our experienced installers can fit level-access showers in both ground-floor and upper-floor bathrooms, depending on the layout of your floor joists. We will thoroughly assess this during your free home consultation.

How does the water drain if the shower is flat with the floor?

We use high-performance drainage systems designed specifically for level-access setups. If standard gravity drainage isn’t possible (which is common on concrete floors), we can install a quiet, reliable waste pump that actively draws the water away as you shower, preventing any flooding.

Is a level-access shower the same as a wet room?

They are very similar, as both offer completely step-free access. However, a level-access shower typically uses a rigid, built-in that sits flush with the existing floor. A involves waterproofing (tanking) the entire room and tiling the floor with a subtle slope towards the drain. We offer both solutions and can advise on the best fit for your home and budget.

What safety accessories can I add to my level-access shower?

You can fully customise your shower to your exact mobility needs. Popular additions include fold-down padded shower seats, high-contrast , thermostatic anti-scald shower mixers, and even warm-air to make the entire experience as safe and comfortable as possible.
