FAQs

Is my bathroom suitable for a wet room conversion?

The vast majority of bathrooms regardless of whether they’re upstairs or downstairs, large or small; can be successfully converted into a wet room. During our home consultation, we will assess your floor structure and plumbing to ensure the correct gradients and drainage can be achieved. If it can’t be done, we will let you know there and then.

Are wet rooms difficult to keep clean?

Actually, they are often much easier to clean than traditional bathrooms! Because a wet room is open-plan with no shower tray rims or intricate screen runners, there are far fewer places for dirt and mould to hide. A simple wipe-down of the open surfaces is usually all that is needed.

Won’t the water leak into the rooms below?

No, you can have complete peace of mind. Before any flooring or tiling is laid, our expert team fully ‘tanks’ the room. This is a comprehensive waterproofing process that seals the floor and lower walls, ensuring the room is 100% watertight and leak-proof.

Why is a wet room better for a wheelchair user than a standard shower?

A wet room offers completely level access across the entire floor, meaning a wheelchair or shower chair can glide in and out effortlessly without navigating any bumps or ramps. The open-plan design also provides essential turning space for comfortable manoeuvrability and easier assistance from carers.

Can the rest of my family still use the wet room?

Yes. A beautifully designed mobility wet room is a fantastic, modern feature for any home. Family members of all ages and abilities will appreciate the spacious, luxurious feel, making it a highly practical and inclusive space for everyone.
