The Challenge
Mrs P discovered Absolute Mobility when visiting her local mobility shop in Buckinghamshire looking for options for a more modern walk-in accessible shower than you would typically find.
Mrs P was awaiting hip replacement surgery, she wanted the accessible shower completed prior to the surgery and was working to a tight deadline, with this in mind she wanted to use a mobility specialist, ensuring the project was managed in an efficient and timely manner.
Mrs P’s desire was for the accessible shower to not look to clinical. A modern finish was important to her as she wanted an aesthetically pleasing solution that was in keeping with the rest of her home.
The Solution
Darren, founder of Absolute Mobility and Bathroom Designer met with Mrs P and her son in law to go over her thinking for a modern walk-in accessible shower. They spent time discussing the vision that Mrs P had in mind, along with her needs and the options available that were suited to this.
The vision was clear for the existing bath to be removed and replaced with an accessible shower area that was aesthetically pleasing allowing Mrs P to return home from her surgery and bathe safely.
Darren recommended the sleek and safe Onyx shower tray in white, along with the wall fixed Onyx Shower Seat, a full height glass shower enclosure and the Triton Elina Type 3 TMV Bar Mixer Shower, the riser rail of the shower doubles as a robust grab rail capable of supporting up to 150kg, providing additional security and stability. Aesthetics were a high priority so Mrs P opted for the Fibo Wall Panels in Shabby Chic.
The installation was completed prior to Mrs P having her hip surgery, allowing herself and her family peace of mind.
