Supporting the Leagues of Friends of Reading Hospitals

We are Proud to Support the League of Friends of Reading Hospitals

It’s often said that the only constant in life is change, so it is reassuring to know that if your health takes a turn for the worse organisations like the League of Friends of Reading Hospitals exist to offer support both during and after your hospital care.

The charity supports patients and staff at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and Wokingham Hospital, it raises money for projects to improve the experience for those receiving treatment, visitors, medical staff, and others who work at the hospital.

Absolute Mobility has partnered with the League of Friends of Reading Hospitals to offer further fundraising support, we believe it is a natural extension of the work we already do.

“Most people will know a relation or a friend who has lost some of their mobility following a decline in their health. In these circumstances many accept that their lives will have to adapt to their new reality, but that should not mean that they cannot maintain at least some of their previous independence.

The accessible bathrooms and shower rooms completed by our team of expert installers aim to do just that, and often have a profoundly positive impact on the lives of our clients. I believe that through our partnership with the League of Friends of Reading Hospitals we can make even more of a difference, supporting those that have developed mobility issues to move forward positively with their lives.

I look forward to working with the team at the League of Friends.”

It’s all about Community

The League of Friends hosted us at Woodley Carnival, it was a fantastic community event that gave our team the opportunity to hear first-hand from locals about the fantastic support the charity has provided to them. Woodley Community Carnival attracts over 7000 people across its afternoon Carnival and Evening Concert.

We are Endorsed by the Which? Trusted Traders Scheme

Sometimes as a consequence of new health conditions, or a development of an existing condition, we see a reduction in our mobility, and things we used to do unconsciously around the home are now more challenging. This is particularly true of bathing. Depending on your mobility needs it may be time to consider making some alterations to your bathroom, shower room of wet room, to make it both easier to use and safer.

Buying a new accessible bathroom, shower room, or wet room is a big decision, and a purchase that you want to get right. It is reassuring to know then that Which? a brand synonymous with consumer advice and protection, has made a list of the best suppliers, and Absolute Mobility is right at the top.

Which? Trusted Traders is the only trade endorsement scheme in the UK that assesses businesses using Trading Standards Quality Assessors. We are held accountable to the Which? Trusted Traders Code of Conduct, that ensures a consistently high standard of work whilst protecting you the consumer.

What does this mean for you?

All applicants to the Which? Trusted Trader scheme undergo a thorough assessment from Trading Standards professionals. Since our first review, assessors have continued to carry out background checks as well as further assessments to ensure Absolute Mobility continues to meet the high standards set by the scheme on a long-term basis rather than just for a moment in time. All aspects of our business have been thoroughly examined including terms and conditions, paperwork, and business practices to ensure that we are doing everything with the customers best interests at heart.
