There are three kinds of accessible shower trays that can benefit you.

  • Step-in trays can be used when you need to install on top of your existing floor – they are a good option if you have enough mobility to take a small step into your shower
  • Low-level trays remove the need to take a step up to get into your shower
  • Level access trays are flush with the floor of your bathroom, allowing easy access if you use a wheelchair.

When you get your shower tray from us, we do a bespoke installation in your bathroom that’s fast and hassle-free, making sure that the product you buy will cater to your needs as they change over time.

We also make choosing a shower tray simple. There are just four things you need to think of, including the…

  • Size
  • Height of step
  • Screen options – each tray comes with a variety of screen options to suit you (just click on one to find out more)
  • Position of the waste outlet.

We do the rest by adding…

  • A manufacturers lifetime guarantee
  • Reinforced construction – all our trays are made from glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), hardened to support seats, wheelchairs and shower chairs
  • Antibacterial protection
  • An anti-slip surface.

Keep reading to find out which is right for you, or call us now on 0800 29 22 110 to speak to an expert adviser.

Step-in trays

step in shower trayStep-in trays are 40mm to 80mm in height – higher than level access, but still a lot lower than your ordinary shower trays.

Step-in trays are used when you need to install an accessible shower onto an unbreachable surface, such as the floors in some multi-storey buildings. The step-in tray can be installed directly on top of the existing floor with minimum disruption and thanks to a side outlet, our step-in trays don’t require any further excavation.

Our step-in trays also come with optional ramps, so you can still have an accessible bathing option even if you live in an apartment which can’t be altered.

Low-level shower trays – to make that small step easy and safe

low level shower trayBy being recessed into the floor, low-level trays eliminate that tricky step that can be a hazard to people with limited mobility. And when there is still a small gap – our Falcon range is only 40mm high – we can add a gentle ramp to make it even easier.

Both these features make this a very versatile option for a range of disabilities. As with all our shower trays, it’s easy for the whole family to use – and with only minor alterations required to install as well.

Level access shower trays – for wheelchair freedom

level access shower trayLevel access trays offer effortless wheelchair access to your shower. Without any height difference between the shower tray and the floor, your shower will allow easy entry for hassle-free disabled bathing.

These trays also help you create a defined shower area without reducing floor space, and because we’re able to seam-weld vinyl sheet flooring directly onto the tray, your level access tray will have the perfect waterproof joint – guaranteed.
