A disabled shower cubicle is a versatile solution for a bathroom, bedroom or garage conversion. Ideally suited to an alcove (a wall at each end) in a bathroom, it can also be installed in a corner situation too. As the disabled shower cubicle is self contained it can be fitted into a bedroom or garage conversion, provided water feeds and waste pipes can be routed to the location.
In order to save space, some disabled shower cubicles can include a basin or WC in the showering area. Though this may seem unusual, it can be practical where space is at a premium or in situations where the cubicle is being placed in a bedroom or garage conversion, provided the waste outlets can be correctly sited.
A cubicle requires careful planning and consideration to ensure the showering area will not be too restrictive for an end user. Half height carer screens or full height screens can be used to finish the shower area, along with shower seats and grab rails.
Our full design and installation service covers all the practical aspects of fitting a disabled shower cubicle. In cases where it will be fitted in a bedroom or garage conversion, we will consider the water feed and waste aspects and include these works in our quotation.
All of our disabled shower cubicles use anti-slip, anti-bacterial shower trays, which can support the weight of a wheelchair. We can also incorporate shower seats and grab rails to suit.
